Not willing to pop 350+tax on the N4 mid-way through its life cycle and wanting a Nexus that I can swap batteries, I thinking about getting this phone off CL or Ebay but curious as its a dual core how well it runs JB? Anyone?

Safety is a pretty big concern of mine riding the NYC subways. I just refuse to buy the "popular" thing. Besides, the phone is pretty fugly IMO. But that's the beauty of choice. Embrace it.

I rely HEAVILY on Google maps navigation on my current Nexus S on Sprint. I want to make a move with to the N4 on TMO prepaid, but not sure if this could bite me in the azz with the no roaming and the spotty tmo data service in the "sticks". Any thoughts?

How do you know that gapps was installed successfully? After install via CWM, there were no Google apps installed and I had to grab them from the play store anyway.
