That is likely by design to keep from overcharging the batteries and consequently killing them.

Same behavior here with fossil Android wear watch. Seems like only some Bluetooth profiles turn on the indicator, and the synch profile is not.

Got the November security patch of 140 mb or so on tmobile V20. Nothing for many months, now several on a regular schedule. Hope the pattern continues. No noticeable difference in behavior.

Yeah now we're at October security patch. More timely than it's been historically. And that's a good thing.

For the folks who have the v40, do you have or are you planning on using a screen protector. The curved edge seems to make that a challenge. Given my phone bouncing experience, going unprotected is too much of a risk and expensive, both for the insurance and for the deductible.

One change that is nice is a quick choice for where to route Bluetooth media when paired with a car. This allows you to use the phone speaker for navigation instructions while listening to one of the others media sources. Addresses on the my longstanding frustrations with the in car support.

One item that may be of concern to some folks on tmobile is the strange behavior of the digits app. They have done a recent push, which seems to have resolved issues that the update has caused. If you update, and digits stops, make sure you update the app.

Given the state of affairs, we're at a bit of a crossroads. My priorities for the next device include network compatibility like 5g and the new carrier bands being deployed. T-mobile is doing 600 bands, with details for 5g still pending. I don't feel a device without them is a worthwhile...

The good part wit the V20 is that battery replacement is pretty cheap, like <20. Now, if the battery created other problems...

Mine took a bit over 1.5 hours and 25% battery to download and install. Annoying part is how the home screen got rearranged and widgets that disappeared. Otherwise things seem to be working OK.

Bad idea for the short run for anyone using the device with their corporate apps. Pie is not certified, and premature upgrade will render those apps non-functional.

Having an issue with connecting to 17 Toyota, where the phone refuses to connect unless you turn Bluetooth off and back on. Happens about 10% of the time. Don't have the issue with my 16 Ford or 07 Toyota that has only the phone profile. Car reports a refused connection. Anyone else see this...
