I agree, mine went from a 50% success rate to about 75% after turning on touch sensitivity

From the xda forums - turn on touch sensitivity in display settings. This should improve the fps performance much more

Yes, dry skin seems to make it much worse. It worked great this morning when my hands had hair oil on them, now it's acting up again.

Is there a way to permanently display the location of the fingerprint sensor on the lock screen along with the always on display? I think that will help with positioning and improve the success rate

An oily finger seems to work much better. I applied some oil on my hair. Since then is recognizing my oily thumb much faster Its definitely slower than my note 8.

Took this at south grand Canyon

I got the RINGKE SLIM Galaxy S5 Case. I have tried a few cases and this fits the best. Its slim and adds very little bulk. The only downside is that it feels quite slippery!
