Do your Contact/Phone app's have permissions to use "Storage"? If not they may not be able to even "see" the custom sounds.

You could also just put the phone face down on the table.

I know its not stock/native to your phone(However it's still google) but I use the Gmail app. It syncs my 3 gmail accounts, 1 Yahoo account, 1 live.com account and 1 private email server without an issue.

Google is pushing monthly security updates now for the Nexus line. Version number will probably not change but the build number will.

Along the same lines I'm wondering if connecting to a yahoo.com address with the app will populate the cards as well. Not sure yet but I have it set up. Will do some testing to see what happens.

You can preserve the notification by sliding it up. Dismiss it by sliding it to the right. (Update: That is for 5.1.1 - not sure about 5.0.1)

The best advice is to be patient. I have it on my N5 but my N9 does not. You will eventually get it :)

It's not really importing yahoo mail into the gmail app. The app is actually connecting to the yahoo servers as if it was a gmail account. And if this is indeed broken now, then your work around sounds like a good fix. I was mostly curious if anyone else was having problems with it. :)

Is anyone else having problems getting the Gmail app to connect to their Yahoo Mail account? Both my N9 and N5 keep reporting the same error: "Userneme or password is incorrect", but the same username/password works fine on the yahoo mail web interface. I like having access to my junk mail...

Facebook messenger started killing my battery so I uninstalled it, rebooted, reinstalled it. Seems to be behaving again but if it does it again its gone permanently.

some podcast apps put the podcast art on the lock screen to remind you what you are listening to. On my N5 it goes away when I close the podcast app (pocket cast) or finish the podcast.
