I don't have any of those issues. I do have a voicemail tab in my phone app. I don't have to enter a password to access it. I can see who left a voicemail. Didn't have to go to the store to setup my voicemail either. I'm using the stock dialer. Sorry, you're having issues. I'm really curious...

There are a few Verizon preinstalled apps. I uninstalled every single one of them.

Is there a separate build for Verizon phones this time?

Go to settings-system-languages and verify you are set to English (United States). Mine came from Verizon set to English (Netherlands). I had some minor issues that were fixed once I corrected the language. Maybe it will work for you.

I like the Bear Motion case. Very minimal for someone like me who would prefer no case at all. The only reason I use a case is to hold the wireless charging receiver.

Factory reset didn't help either.

The Sept patch didn't help. I've had this phone since day one. The extremely low earpiece volume is a new issue for me.

Installing the September security patch now. maybe it will fix it.

Not sure if this is related to 8.0, but my earpiece volume is extremely low. Even at full volume I can barely hear it. Speaker phone works fine as does media volume. This started about two or three weeks ago. Anybody else experience this, or have ideas to fix?

I did replace my MXPE. I got the Pixel. I only did it because I broke the MXPE. No regrets. Love the Pixel. Loved the MXPE too.

I use "Hey Google" to activate ONLY the home.
