Since I received the Feb 19 update, this keeps happening every time I open an individual message such as my parents or wife etc. I have rebooted, force rebooted and closed apps, no change in status and it delays my ability to use messages, even if briefly it is annoying. Anyone else see this?

Same issue here. It has been an off and on issue for 3 updates now. Google Support told me it would be fixed but has not stayed fixed so it isn’t as far as I am concerned.

What sort of phone has these basic BT issues in 2017? The Pixel of course. My original Pixel XL same thing and I finally ditched it. Back to the reliable boring iPhone. I wish google would fix it so I could come back!!

That's what I am doing and it's all thanks to shoddy work by Samsung. I hade two note 7's then a Tab S2 and nothing gets updated! Notes burn up. Can't win with them. Back country navigator is going to iOS and I'm going with them.

No. The BT issues alone are enough to drive a person to drink. My family has had enough with BT deciding on it's own to just disable itself and other BT issues.

Mine and Wife's XL both still have BT disabled issues still. Plus WiFi smart assistant disabled and more. Fun. NOT. Back to iPhone when the 8 comes along.

When I did this recently it drained my BT headset in about 1.5 hours. Normally I can use it for 5-6 hrs listening to audio or music or on a call.

Mine pairs but does NOT hand off. I shut my car off with my BT plantronics on my ear and the call goes to internal speaker instead of the freaking earpiece.

Verizon did the same to me. Sent a refurb. I couldn't get a new one regardless because there were no 128gb XL's.

The iPhone works great, even does Bluetooth transfers/handoffs but dies t always like car Bluetooth systems as it attempts to split BT into two parts, Music and Phone. The Pixel is far worse, has zero and I mean zero handoff ability. That is a pss poor design.
