how are the leather backs holding up?

Title. Thinking of upgrading from 2014 moto x to 2014 and I like how the leather backs look, but am concerned about their longevity. Any thoughts? Posted via Android Central App

    Moto X 2014 Moto Hint

Re: Moto Hint Comfort will be huge here. I didn't really like the feel of the Sol republic buds that they pushed with the first moto x. Posted via Android Central App

Facebook app a major power drain

I hate the Facebook app, it uses a lot of ram and drains the battery. Posted via Android Central App

Different feel in woven and smooth?

I don't think so, I played with the woven in store and it didn't feel bumpy like it looks. Its just a visual texture. Posted via Android Central App

Anyone using NFC dots/tags/skip with their new X? Does it work with phone off and locked?

A holster user concerned with style. That's new. ;-) just teasing. To answer your question, I don't think putting the sticker inside the holster probably would not work as intended. The phone would be constantly exposed to the tag and would possibly unlock frequently and erratically. It may...

just got my moto x! is this normal?

I'm not sure what the concern is. Yes this is pretty normal, your screen should be using the most battery (unless you're actively navigating, then GPS can suck down a lot of power) if you're ever looking at battery stats and see an app listed above your screen time, you should probably think...

Moto X vs Droid Mini: Active Notifications [video]

In terms of this feature, isn't an amoled a better screen? since an lcd would have to turn on the entire screen, but an amoled just activates the necessary pixels. though I do like the LED on my gnex, I don't think I'll miss it too terribly much. I'm curious what the tiny white flashing is at...

    Compared to the Galaxy Nexus...

I'm in the exact same situation, but I've made the decision to buy the x once Verizon gets motomaker. I don't like how giant the one and s4 are, and I prefer a more stock android anyways. Camera isn't a big deal for me, and that seems to be the main complaint from reviews. I'm sure the battery...

VZW anyone buying this on thursday?

I thought the ultra had a higher resolution screen, but I guess it's just larger. Upon looking at the spec sheet I can see no reason to pick the ultra since the x actually has a bigger battery and a more stock android experience. Posted via Android Central App

How would you rate the stock keyboard?

I like swift key, but it is a bit resource intensive. I decided to try switching to the default keyboard on my GNex and everything runs much faster. Posted via Android Central App

VZW anyone buying this on thursday?

For me the main selling point of the x over the ultra is motomaker. I also prefer stock android, but ultra has better specs at the same price so I could sacrifice the stock experience. I'll wait for motomaker. Maybe by then I'll be able to afford buying outright so I don't lose my unlimited...

What prevents the usage of LTE on AT&T and T-Mobile?

I think Google tried to outbid them for the frequency, or at least forced them to pay more by bidding on it, and at a certain threshold they were forced to have their LTE network open. Its sort of a moot point though since they have control of their CDMA network.
