I suggest you let it fully charge then turn it off, give it 20 seconds then turn it on again (rather than use the Restart option) and see where you are at then.

Don't know why it is showing the wrong account but doesn't it let you switch to the right account? Failing that a Force Stop / Clear Cache and Data will let you start again with the right account.

I would never contemplate using a phone without a screen protector and a bumper cover.

To be fair those options seems to work as they are supposed to with WhatsApp message notifications which is usually the only other app with any decent amount of notification traffic. I have asked over on the Reddit forum for PocketCasts if that app needs to be changed to support these options...

Stripping this back to basics all I want is to see that there are new podcasts by just looking at my lock screen but I do not want to see the details of what those new podcasts might be. Is this such an unusual use case? Should it be so hard to achieve?

All that said I still think the suppress detail feature on the new phone is broken either by design or by implementation.

So it displays the detail of the first new podcast episode just added. After messing around with this for ages I have decided to stick with my workaround of suppressing notifications for those sports-related podcasts which are the ones likely to show spoilers for events I have yet to see which...
