It is an S25FE. Yes, I always double/triple check for updates after opening Google Play.

Would such a thing not trigger mass updates for most (all?) users? I can find no evidence online of such a thing happening to other people. Unless everyone but me does not find it an unusual occurrence worth remarking on?

Went to bed last night with a fully updated phone and yet this morning had 48 apps waiting to be updated! What gives? Has there been some sort of emergency security fix which needed all those apps to be rebuilt and updated asap?

Now done it and the SD card data was transferred en bloc to a sub-folder to the internal memory of the new phone. Took a bit of internal manual movement from there to where it was easier for the owner apps to find their data.

The are happy to push other moving part features at us such as folding screen phones but not the move-once-and-the-jobs-done SD cards. 🙄

I use Firefox and it doesn't automatically refresh. At least on the sites I commonly visit.

Alternatively access BBC Sounds / iPlayer via a browser. I find Chrome is the best for media playing. I have an old Android 7 tablet and as apps update to need a newer version this is how I continue to use the services - for example, Youtube in my case.
