Support Group for those switching from WebOS (palm pre) to Nexus S 4g

Re: Support Group for those switching from WebOS (palm pre) to Ne As being a former Pre owner (and current Touchpad user...woot!), I can understand folks coming over to Android feeling like it is a more difficult OS to use. It is not just the day to day stuff...hand a person a WebOS device...

    Trouble with sending email

Thanks for the reply! I have verified the settings, and it seems that when I save the settings that everything is OK. I have cleared my cache on both the email and Gmail apps, and have rebooted the phone. Still unable to send Gmail messages from either app. My current outgoing settings...

    Trouble with sending email

I am having the same issue with my Nexus S phone. I have 4 accounts set up, and am using the stock email program. I receive emails fine on all 4 accounts, but cannot send emails on my Gmail account. I get a 'connection error' message in the outbox, and the emails just sit there. Any help...

Support Group for those switching from WebOS (palm pre) to Nexus S 4g

Re: Support Group for those switching from WebOS (palm pre) to Ne I truly mourn the loss of WebOS in the smartphone ecosystem...I hope that HP sells it off to a worthy buyer. (Licensing it out is probably a dead end...who will pay for WebOS when they can have Android for free?) My fear is...

    Bluetooth Keyboard Support!!!! Works flawlessly

I have not tried this yet, but I think you have to input a 4 digit code on both your phone as well as type in the same code on your Palm keyboard. (saw this in another forum...) So for example enter '1234' on your phone, and then you would type '1234' on the keyboard after, and then they...

[ACS] Nexus S 4G AIO root & CWM flashable zips

Re: Sorta one click root Is there any documentation on how to re-root after the update? I want to get back to root without wiping my SDCard LOL, so any instructions on how to gain root again would be awesome! (My bootloader is still unlocked....) Sorry if this is a noob question, but I am...

[ACS] Nexus S 4G AIO root & CWM flashable zips

Re: Sorta one click root Ok, so I rooted my phone before the update, and now after the update I appear to no longer be rooted. Do I have to go through the rooting process again (and have to wipe my phone again....sigh) or is there an easier way to regain root without having to wipe?

New Android Market apk is here

I got the same thing on my Nexus S 4G. Ended up going under Settings -> Applications and removing updates from the Market app. Allowed me to log in fine after that. Sigh...was really looking forward to seeing the new Market goodness...

Welcome to the Nexus S 4G! Please introduce yourselves here.

Have had my Nexus S 4G for a couple weeks now...had to make the upgrade from the Palm Pre on Sprint when the screen finally went. I am still learning the basics of using Android, and so far there is a lot to love/hate. Love the hardware...everything is super fast! Love all the apps available...

Support Group for those switching from WebOS (palm pre) to Nexus S 4g

Wow...feels like a support group! So here goes...hi I'm Dave, and I am a launch day Pre owner. I am here because I killed my Pre. It had a tiny crack forming from the USB door and was starting to affect touchscreen performance and picture. So thinking I could do the screen surgery...I wound...
