I can't see how I have an offending app. I deleted every single app that can be deleted, and I get the optimizing error when booting in safe mode. But factory reset has cured a few different problems with this tablet in the past, so I think it will this time, too.

This happened after my last factory reset, not sure if it was immediately after or not. Doing a factory reset isn't fun, so I'm saving it as a last resort.

I agree with the ultra-low budget no name devices having very little support, but this seems to be an Android software problem across many devices, so I was hoping for more ideas. Sounds like the well is just plain dry. Hopefully there will be a fix from above. Thanks for trying!

Those instructions say to press the volume down button. I don't have volume buttons.

As I said, there is no volume up or down button. Screen touch only for volume.
