Yes, but on the phones with it preinstalled, you can't uninstall it, but you can uninstall the updates, and even doing that doesn't bring back the widget. I'm having the same issue at the moment and it's driving me nuts. Ive force stopped the app cleared the data, cache, uninstalled the updates...
