I just hit this issue. Didn't even notice the shuffle icon as it was blending into the background of the album art.

Yeah, that's the main issue. Since its not flat there are more angles where you can end up with the screen face against something that will scratch the screen. Never scratched my Nexus 6. This phone scratched within 2 weeks. Unfortunate that such a nice phone will end up being a scratch magnet.

Indeed. Apple isn't running a ton of commercials about their camera being the most used because it sucks :)
