Well, I booted in Safe mode (I'm afraid the Samsung Galaxy S4 instructions don't apply for a FairPhone 1, but I discovered how to do it) and the alarm again went off this morning – 20 seconds, very faint, at 09:19. So, according to dumpedduce it's in the factory system files. What's the next step?

Re: Unexplained regular alarm It's not like the alarm from the clock app. Just a faint beep-beep for 30 seconds or so. Never noticed at any other time of day. Now or the last 4 days. I'll try the Bill Gates method, as you suggest.
