Thanks Kevin. Yes, I would normally do a factory reset, as you recommend MJK, but the tablet is so dead it won't even factory reset.

My Nexus 7 died (wouldn't turn on/charge). The shop has given me a replacement, and I'm going to give them the broken one which they're going to try and repair. My concern is that if they do repair it, they'll have access to all my accounts and data... I have a password on my device, will they...
