Just did a manual check and finally getting the update on Fi. EDIT: after restart, can confirm the Build number on Fi is also NKG47L.

Has happened to me about 3-4 times in May so I originally thought it was something with the May update, but I don't know anymore. Before that, it happened once. Getting worried about where this could be headed.

Just reiterating that it totally works on Project Fi. Put your phone in airplane mode and turn wifi on to force calling through wifi otherwise it will always default to carrier even if the signal is "weak" compared to wifi signal.

Never left for me either.
