I would test you phone for a few more days. I got my replacement device and instantly had terrible battery. I reinstalled everything and it was still there. A wipe cache partition is not needed on a new phone never used. I think Samsung...like the Note 7...dropped the ball on this software...

I know this is a stupid question but am I simply connecting my phone to the computer to do this or do I do it all on the phone. How do people actually brick their phones? How safe is it?

I've always jailbroken devices so I'm comfortable to root it but I don't actually know how. How high are the chances of bricking the phone? I'm not looking to run a ton of diff things I just want my battery life to be normal. I've never rooted a phone before, just a little hesitant.
