[Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)

The flash_image.zip file needs to be unzipped, and it contents (1 file) gets copied to your SD card, not the zip file itself. The ADB terminal is part of the Android-SDK that you should install on your PC. Just so we are all on the same page, do you already have root access on your phone?

[Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)

The ADB instructions are towards the bottom in the very first post of this thread. http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-optimus-s-rooting-roms-hacks/59359-custom-recovery-xionia-clockwork-cwma-v1-2518-6-a.html#post596820

[Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)

Has anyone knowingly used this custom recovery on a new phone with the new LCD hardware? I personally have tried ThundeRC and get a blank screen, so I was working up the courage to try another custom recovery this weekend.

    SW Version LS670ZVD?

Ok, thanks for that! I guess I won't have a problem then. I assumed it was doing a concatenate. I figured cp would have been used if it was only for a copy. :-!

    SW Version LS670ZVD?

I understand this. However, I don't believe it copies the file, it actually concatenates the file to the end of an existing file. My question was, if I have already done this with the flash_image supplied with ThunderRC, can I do this again with the Xionia Clockwork flash_image, or do I first...

    SW Version LS670ZVD?

I currently have the ThundeRC custom recovery installed, but am one of the few users that have the new LCD hardware, so the screen is blank in recovery mode. Do I need to install the stock VC recovery first before switching to Xionia Clockwork Recovery? I wasn't sure, since part of the...

[How-to] Revert to LS670V9, after installing OTA LS670VC/VD, using KP500 (Diag mode)

I think you have a good theory here with the LCD driver update, but how do we go about proving it? I would be willing to help debug this since I am one of the few that appear to have a suspect phone. My plan is to downgrade to V9 again, then get a logcat. I'll try it out this weekend.

[How-to] Revert to LS670V9, after installing OTA LS670VC/VD, using KP500 (Diag mode)

I am having the same problem. I easily rooted my first 2 Optimus phones that came with V9, but this third one is only a week old, and came with VC installed. Here is what I did: 1) Followed the directions on this thread to downgrade to V9 with the LG Updater. After it rebooted, I got the LG...

[How-to] Guide to Rooting with software version LS670ZVC

Yes. I launched the LG Updater, then connected the phone via USB, then clicked the red update button on the updater. At least I can use the phone now until I figure out what to do next.

[How-to] Guide to Rooting with software version LS670ZVC

I am experiencing the exact same problem. This is on a brand new phone that came with VC, and I am assuming the VC recovery partition as well. The phone appears to be operating, but nothing appears on the screen. When a button is pressed, the backlight comes on. I can even hear the USB...
