    Just install Nova Launcher and you wont have to bother with TouchWiz... No need for Cyanogenmod for that.

    How good of an EReader?

    I think it's a great tablet for reading, the great resolution and the 8.4" screen are a great combination. I use Moon+ Reader Pro, which is by far the best reader available on Google Play IMO.

    Reading a Book on Nexus 7

    I tried Aldiko, which is just fine, but Moon + Reader is the best reading app IMO. And the few dollars it costs to get the Pro version are worth it.

    My Nexus 7 is not able to locate epub files

    I don't know about the Sony app, but I'm using Moon+ Reader Pro and Aldiko (free) and both just import and see epub and PDF files just fine. And both apps are excellent e-readers, especially Moon+.
