I have the s6 edge and I notice the same thing. It also messes with notifications. Sometimes I don't get certain notifications till I wake up the phone. I never had this issue with any of my other phones. Samsung really messed up this time and if this isn't fixed soon I'm sure it'll lose a lot...

Yes Gmail. I notice it doesn't always do it, it's annoying though that my Gmail app on my iPad gets notifications so quick and it could take a while sometimes to be alerted on my phone over a email. Hopefully a Gmail update will fix this.

One reason I haven't gone back to iPhone is because of the ir blaster. I upgraded from the Note 4 and to be honest I love how it's smaller and fit much better in my hand. Maybe try out the edge plus as well? I don't have issues with the battery but I have to admit my Note 4 had a better longer...

Textra is the best, I always download it. I don't like the stock messager at all.

I like the favorites on my edge I use that but I don't use it when the phone is asleep. Takes too long to get that little screen on. I rather just wake it to see my notifications. I got it for looks though.

Download swift keyboard. It's awesome and you can back up your typing habits. It's the only keyboard I've used on Android for a long time.

Update: I notice this only disappears when I open the app kids mode for my child. Kids mode is a app downloaded from galaxy app store, it let's the child play with his/her games without being able to enter the regular home screen. How frustrating that an app made by Samsung is causing this issue.

I jumped from the Note 4 to the edge s6 because of the smaller size and beauty of the phone. The large size of the note 4 made my hands hurt but I do miss the battery life on the note 4.

Oops wrong screen shot. Doesn't give me the option at all for the motion. Must be a glitch from new update or Samsung doesn't want us to have it.
