Well, it worked perfectly good on previous versions, and I see same issue with Marshmallow as well.

See this kind of statistics on my phone as well, in spite of Wi-Fi is off. But battery life is surprisingly good and I think it's a (another) flaw in the battery report. It also has a bar showing Wi-Fi always ON, which is not true.

"On edit, yeah there is definitely something going on with the wireless. After being turned off for 14 hours, wifi has used 14% battery. At least I think WiFi is turned off...." Same here with WiFi turned off. So, is it just wonky battery usage report or WiFi really consumes 14% of the battery...

Slave - have you restarted your phone? It's probably Android OS the culprit. Just restart the phone. I noticed big improvement in standby time with 6.0.

Re: WiFi reconnect issue Yes, it does automatically re-connect to any Wi-Fi it remembers if it comes in range. May be you have Wi-Fi turned off during sleep? This if why it doesn't re-connect?

I use Llama for the same purpose. Make it silent, turn off W-Fi.

Usually it takes a few seconds, but could depend on your router.

Re: Nexus 5 Wifi Won't turn on. Help Please! Taking in consideration it worked before update, hardware issue is unlikely. Try to sift through your apps. :/ Try to set up a specific band (2.4 or 5 GHz) only.

Re: Nexus 5 Wifi Won't turn on. Help Please! I occasionally had this issue and think it was caused by Llama app, which controls my Wi-Fi (on and off). Reboot always helped, but didn't find a permanent solution.

So far so good. It looks like 5.1 is a little easier on the battery. Otherwise no difference.
