Never had these problems with the V30. Just handle them like babies. My only bad experience was the V10. That bootlooped on me. My V30 still has excellent battery life.

Awesome - thanks. I've been trying to find how close they are in size when the notch is turned off. I imagine still a bit taller, but not by much.

I am with the V30 still and dig it. I don't think I could get used to the notch on v40 or V50... Question: if you turn the notch off on the V40 what is the screen size? Does it compare to the V30? From what I can see spec wise they are about the exact same width, just that the V40 is taller.

I think LG had a default protector in the phone out if the box?

Personally I think it's the DAC getting confused as to the impedance of the headphones it's trying to drive. It happens on my V20 sometimes where I think it goes into high impedance mode when I plug in low impedance cans. Now the V30 looks like they took away the ability for you to see what...

They did fix it. Hats off to LG for fixing a 3 year old V10. I mean I had the phone fully rooted, copper on SOC, so clearly had been opened. Usually they take off screen protector during the repair, but they left mine on, which is great since it was a pricey one.

I think one of the big reasons I'm holding on to my V20 and HTC 10 is because of aluminum back, no glass. But also big factor is 16x9 aspect ratio. I don't like narrow tall phones. If the phone is too narrow the text size will still be a bit on the smaller side. Sure, you get more vertical...

My V10 just bootlooped. It's ironic cause it was fine. A few weeks ago I applied the copper tape 'fix' prevention to help distribute the heat from the mmc and main processor better. So I've been doing a few more high end tasks on the V10 like more gaming, etc. Anyway woke up to a bootlooped...

That is correct and fine. They won't mention Bootloop in any of the documents. I think they say something when it comes back like device wouldn't charge on USB cable. Fixed. When they really replaced the motherboard.

How about UI stuff and apps/widgets? Do we get an update to LGs next UX version? I want things like the real LGV30 weather widget and apps. Things like that. (Please don't tell me to download xwidget and download the S8 weather widget). I want the real deal! Hoping Oreo is bringing this.

This phone is EOL. Won't be getting any more updates. HTC usually commits to 2 years.

I do swappa myself, but like the poster above, it has come littered with resellers, so you have to weed them out and try to find the good private sellers.

I used it quite a bit on my trip to NY a month ago. Was super handy.

I just got a used but mint condition red HTC 10. So switching between that keeps away the boredom. I should also mention I have a V10 and my trusty old One M8 that is still in great condition.

I think HTC discontinued their stock browser and no longer support it. Use Chrome instead.
