I am having the same issue with my galaxy s5, new to me two weeks ago. Driving me crazy too, at night. I use the phone as a wakeup alarm, but may have to give that up. Really disappointing. Will forward a fix as soon as I find one, though I'm not too hopeful.

One aspect of this issue has not been discussed: it has been explained that RAM management potentially slows the system down when RAM is near fully consumed and an app is launched that requires a forced stop of an already loaded app. This is probably the best way to manage RAM. My problem is...
