I'd be interested in your idea also. I just updated my Mesmerize to 2.2 thru US Cellular and have been missing calls very regularly. My brother (who tried the Desire and hated it) got a Mesmerize also. He got his 2.2 direct from US Cellular when he bought it and is having the same issues...
