Doze or Greenify don't really work. I use AccuBattery Pro. Spend some time and check out battery draw for each app I app settings. You might be surprised.

On the S7 the Exynos definately has better battery life.

The Samsung​ stand up wireless charger has a cooling fan which works on fast charge. My S7 never gets warmer than 36°c.

Got it yesterday on Rogers and I like it. Install went smooth and battery optimization is fantastic. Saves all the work of closing apps and cleaning cache all the time.

Be aware the waterproof seal around the charging port could be missing or compromised. IP68 could be down the toilet..... I would warranty or exchange the phone. Samsung makes a great phone , but their quality does seem to vary as the production run gets longer.

I always set up camera so that pics go direct to SD card. I also make sure any pics that are on internal storage get transfered to the SD card. I recently decided to replace/backup my 4 yr old SD card with a couple of thousand pics by copying everything to the phone , then replacing the SD card...

"Should I turn off fast charging" is a good thread that has most of your answers. Use the supplied charger. The phone's battery charging circuit and charge setting is what controls the charging current.
