DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

I'm still waiting for some tools to be delivered before cracking the phone open. Still nothing as far as any signs of life at the moment. I do have one other question for you, if you don't mind, Sir. Right now I have a custom ROM on the unlocked/rooted/S-OFF DNA I'm planning to list on...

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

Have done as well. Considering cracking it open to inspect the battery and/or maybe the charging port. Need to order some tools first.

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

Yes Sir. I've held it down by itself, as well all other combinations between the pwr and vol buttons for as long as two mins at a time. The bottom buttons never flash at all. It's like the phone just died a sudden death for no apparent reason.

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

If it ain't one thing, it's something else...... Now my wife's old stock DNA won't power on at all. Was working fine the other day when I copied her data off of it. Did a graceful power down that night so I could work on my phone and now her's seems completely dead all of a sudden. No LED...

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

UPDATE Looks like the problem causing the squiggly freeze was the baseband needing to be updated. I had re-flashed LiquidSmooth to get back into Android, enabled USB debugging, followed the firewater procedure, got S-OFF, updated the baseband, then finally I was able to install Kitkat. Looks...

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

Lots have changed since I've been active in the hobby. GAPPS weren't a separate thing last time I needed to do this. Thanks for all your good info. Seriously, much appreciated. Out of five forums I've sought help on, you're the only person who has not only given credible information, but...

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

Ah, thank you for that! When I first rooted my DNA I had no idea how I turned dev options on. That LiquidSmooth was very stripped down still. Didn't even have the play store on it. In the app drawer there was one half fulled page and that was it.

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

I tried the LiquidSmooth rom first, and I just didn't like it. Too much was stripped down and I couldn't find dev options anywhere on it. Then, I tried one called TikTak and after it installed the screen went all squiggly if that makes it sense. Wiped and reinstalled it, same result. Now...

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

All of these newer roms are saying my radio, or baseband needs to be updated as well to the latest firmware. A couple years ago the terminology was always the "radio", or the firmware antenna that communicates with the provider's tower. Another question if I may; I have a second DNA, not...

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

The problem with that turned out to be an outdated version of CWM. I updated it, only to find my phone would not get recognized in recovery by adb. Found that with the upgrade I also needed a driver upgrade which I took care of (after I had installed TWRP to test as well, just stuck with...

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

I did just try the sideload from recovery. Thought I was out of the woods for a second, but then the rom install failed/aborted. Anyone know what went wrong?

DROID DNA: Stuck in bootloader/recovery. How to flash a rom from Fastboot USB?

Hey there, I'm the OP. Wasn't logged in when I created the post. First off, thanks for responding. Much appreciated. Yes, I believe I have the right drivers. Before I deleted everything and could boot into the stock ROM, adb displayed the DNA's info when I did adb devices. Seemed like...
