The watch can get text messages not connected to LTE. I am getting them right now with my LTE off in the watch. Check Android wear app and make sure the text messages aren't being blocked. Have you opened the text message app on the watch yet? It may also need permission to access texts...

Ah yes.. I apologize for misinterpreting your issue. Now that you mention it, I also am not getting sounds either. I just noticed my ringer volume was on vibrate for the watch and just turned it up. I will see if that makes a difference for me.

I did another test just using LTE last weekend and now I am seeing an improvement. I used it a bit more the second time and would have gotten 18hours, assuming my usage didn't increase. I have noticed an improvement since the beginning of March.

I have the one from AT&T and noticed an improvement all of a sudden as mentioned in the video. How long ago did you buy the blue one? Maybe there was an improvement to software between the time you had the two watches? But it definitely has gotten better and I am noticing similar results to you.

What apps or watch faces are you using?

Yes my watch is able to call out on LTE, while not being connected via Bluetooth and will other radios off. Unfortunately when you set it up to do so, it forces you to use Message+ app which disables "Android Messages" and doesn't have a keyboard to reply with.
