This does not meet both of your requirements but Tango and Google Hangouts both allow you to do it for free. The other party would, however, need to have the same app.

I agree it wont be fixed in 48 hours. I thought it was strange he bothered to give me a timeline much less a rather aggressive one.

No YouTube videos for me either. Also lost voicemail notifications. Spoke with Tier 2 support yesterday and he was going to put a ticket in. He said they should be able to figure out the voicemail within 48 hours. I just noticed the issue with YouTube after reading that someone had that problem.
