Replacement phone has been working great so far. All apps loaded and all music downloaded. Going to assume I just had a bad device the first time.

Got my replacement phone today. Been powered up for about four hours now. Haven't experienced any issues yet. Will post later tonight when I put the phone on charge.

Yes sir would try a factory reset first. If it still has issues take it to the store and inform them of the issue and see if they can help or obtain a new phone for you.
