So many people in Maryland with on truck for delivery. Mine has been sitting in MD 10 minutes from my house for hours. For me it just said at local sort facility twice. Under the first one it said "package not due for delivery". I'm jealous!

It only means you will see it in 2 days at the longest. It could certainly arrive earlier. Don't bet on it but it does happen a lot. It depends on how far from the departure point and the area where you live. If you are in a low population area there is much less chance of getting a delivery...
