I don't know if you are still working on this issue but I did find an app that seems to work for display only. It is called MirrorOp Sender for Galaxy. I haven't tried devices such as Apple TV yet but it is streaming to PCs running both Windows 8 and Windows 7. Downfall, sound still runs on...
