Have the same problem with my 3 xl now being in roaming mode. Also, no longer have the option to turn on wifi calling. These both started after the second Android 10 update. I am also hoping that the October update fixes it or else i will try to reset also.

I don't recall a separate film on that area of the phone, wasn't it just the film that covered the entire phone with the pull tab?

So I currently have the HTC One M8 on Verizon. My Pixel XL will be delivered from Google on Tuesday. My question is can I simply remove my Verizon sim card from my M8 and pop it in my Pixel XL? Will everything work normally? Is there any benefit to going to a Verizon store and getting a new sim...

Just curious what provider people are using. I have had these issues since the MM update and am on Verizon. I wonder if it is something that they did to the software that caused the issue?

Yes, I have all updates installed. I even did a factory reset and reinstalled all of my apps and system updates and still have the same issues.

Have had the same issue since upgrading to MM. Called HTC support and they claim they dont know anything about it. I suggest more people call and complain, that would be our only slight chance of getting it fixed. What I have done is to set my M8 to automatically switch into extreme power saving...

Thanks for the reply. I would not be turning in my M8. It is paid and I own the phone. They wanted to offer me $58 for trade in. Not sure I will stay with HTC now. Been having issues with my M8 since updating to MM. Battery dies aroun 25% and reverts settings back to stock, pretty frustrated...

Also, sounds like the issue with settings reverting back to stock is somewhat wide spread. I am reading on other forums that it is happening to many people. Hopefully a fix is released but I am not holding my breath.

Having the same issue. Cleared cache, no luck. Finally bit the bullet and did a factory restore, still having the same issue, if the battery dies (usually between 20% - 30%) the phone reverts back to stock settings, very frustrating..

I get the same errors, cant update any of the HTC apps. I think there was another user here that has the same problem. Think we just need to wait it out for now, probably be available tomorrow.
