I understand that protection wise is really good, and it does look good, but it is still far from what the phone originally is without the case.
It goes from being light and thin to being heavy and thick, that's undeniable. The good point is it makes it way less slippery.
I have the Black one, and I removed it last Friday. It adds a lot of bulk and weight, kinda ruins the phone design.
I just have it on a neoprene pouch now.
I get a day and a half of usage with medium usage.
I use around 1h30m of Spotify every day while going and coming back from work, plus Facebook/Twitter/Flipboard while I'm on the public transport.
Added to that, some calls, whatsapps and web browsing.
I am very happy with a day and a half...

The sound is good, but I'm not sure if that's like a kind of glue or if it should be there at all.
Could I perhaps unblock them with a thin needle or something?

I got both, the HTC One M8 and the iPhone 5S and I have to say the screen makes a massive difference.
The iPhone is smaller and fits better in the pocket, yes, but reading news, Facebook, Twitter, emails ... is just so much better in the One M8.

I managed to get 2 days and a half with medium intensity usage on the phone, the only trick was activating plane mode while sleeping at night.
I would say the battery is amazing.
