Try a difference SIM card to see if the issue is due to a faulty SIM. If the issue is caused by the faulty SIM, get a new one.

There is an issue with what you are trying to do. Spring (and Galaxy S7) from Sprint is a CDMA network, whereas Cricket is a GSM one. And they have different SIM cards. This is why your S7 can't recognize the Cricket card. You can find more here: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/cdma-networks...

What PUK code is your phone asking for? Is it your SIM PUK or yur SIM Network PUK?

Your phone uses CDMA technology. And it might not work on all network. I recommend you check first if the new network you wish to use accept your phone. Otherwise, you will pay a service which won't help you too much!

Where did you get this phone? And also what is the message that your phone displays? A screenshot would help a lot understand the lock level your phone has.

Before buying this phone, you should ask if you it supports GSM sim, becuase Sprint is a CDMA network and the device might not support GSM sim at all.

I recommend you try to unlock it through ATT as fast as possible before your bf reports it.
