It sounds like adware, which is nothing more than an app that installed itself on your phone and now is serving ads with the intent (well you know) to click on them.
Check this guide on how to identify and remove unwated apps such as adware or other malware...
You could use a third party unlock provider like https://www.unlockunit.com, if your phone's IMEI is clean and your carrier doesn't want to, you can go with these services.
Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls with the AT&T Note 4?
I know that dialing *#31# works.
This is a hidden code which can be used to disable your phone’s outgoing anonymity status as well. I found it here: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/iphone-dropping-calls However, I don't...
It might be a late (very late) post, but here's for those that might encounter this issue in the future https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/transfer-music-computer-androids-sd-card/
It might be a late answer but hopefully will help somebody. Check these things if your phone's screen is flickering:
1. Make sure that your apps are up-to-date
2. Boot the phone in Safe Mode
3. Deactivate Hardware Overlays
4. Clear the phone’s cache partition
5. Perform a hard reset on the phone...
You need a valid T-Mobile SIM card, especially if you do the unlocking through the device unlock app.
Check here for more information: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/network-locked-t-mobile-usa
There is an issue with what you are trying to do.
Spring (and Galaxy S7) from Sprint is a CDMA network, whereas Cricket is a GSM one. And they have different SIM cards. This is why your S7 can't recognize the Cricket card.
You can find more here: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/cdma-networks...
I would add here some waterproof cases for anyone looking to take pictures onlines:

Your phone uses CDMA technology. And it might not work on all network.
I recommend you check first if the new network you wish to use accept your phone. Otherwise, you will pay a service which won't help you too much!
Where did you get this phone? And also what is the message that your phone displays?
A screenshot would help a lot understand the lock level your phone has.
