I know going through Motorola is $125. They will send you a replacement, then you send the broken one back in a provided envelope.

Its the first phone I have actually cracked the screen on....and the first that compelled me to finally put a case on it.

Mine cost me $125 a few weeks ago through Motorola. They mailed me my exact phone, with custom ebony back, and a return envelope. Had my replacement with in a few days of reporting it.

I cracked the screen on mine with the same issues. Had tried the suggested fixes with on temporary success. I swapped out my cracked one for another one ($125 later). Was great the first 2 weeks, but the issues have returned....can't wait for 5.1 I loved this phone on KitKat, but lollipop has...

Lollipop did not upgrade well on mine either. I have the Verizon version. Cache partition didn't help, but full restore did. Just sad I had to go through all of that to get it to function normal.

I never could find a case that didn't make the custom ebony back look horrible. So been rocking it naked since I got it last fall. I've never cracked a screen on any phone I've had. I've dropped this one in a few parking lots and on plenty of floors with only a few minor dings and scratches...

2 days in and it seems like I get 10-15% less from my battery vs Kit Kat. I don't know if this will improve after a few days like it did when it was new? But rumors before indicated a slight boost in battery performance.

Try going through Motorola directly. My wife cracked her customer 2013 X and they sent her a code for a new one without issue.

If you are a heavy user probably not. I am a moderate user in a strong 4g area. I usually have about 20% at the end of the day when I charge it. Never had to charge mid day yet. And Lollipop is supposed to give battery life a boost.

Mine is the same exact issue. Its when I go to slide down to unlock. About once a day it seems like. No particular notification seems to be the culprit. Always have to do a reset to get my phone to work again.

Might give it a try. Just seems odd to have that be the issue so early.

You sure that's the new (2014) version? Not last years model? I have a Verizon business account. There are some places that will upgrade business accounts. I know Costco will for Verizon.

I've had mine for a few weeks now. Seems like about every other day my Moto X freezes while trying to unlock it. No password or anything, just sliding it to unlock. I end up having to do a reset every time it happens. Thinking of waiting to see if it goes away after the Lollipop update....
