[App] LTE Discovery by Simply Advanced

Is there any Tasker integration that can be used to turn on/off the Data Connection Reset feature? IE turn it on when in a certain location and when WiFi is off, but turn it off everywhere else.

Are you still happy with the g4?

That's better, but the extra pull is still extra work that I don't have to do on stock Lollipop. This is what annoys me: I prefer stock, but, that's why it's just an annoyance and not a deal breaker. I just wish LG would follow Motorola's lead and leave Android stock for the most part and...

Are you still happy with the g4?

I feel the same way. The first few days with the G4 were awful. Lag everywhere. I disabled all the apps I could from the stock Apps menu, but it was still slow. I then found a Debloat tool that can disable any app on the phone through ADB. After doing that, the phone is a whole different animal...

Just snagged the Dell Venue 8 7840...wow

I ordered one through Dell when I saw it on one of the tech blogs I follow. By the time I found out Best Buy had it, Dell was already shipping the order. It will arrive on Thursday. I pulled the trigger because Dell allows free returns up to 30 days, so I figured I had nothing to lose. I went...

What phone are you coming from?

I agree. The G2 has the hardware, hopefully if it it's similar to the 5, AOSP ROMs won't be hard to get for the G2.

What phone are you coming from?

White Xperia ZL running CM 10.2. I'm hoping the Nexus 5 has a decent camera.

4.2.2 Data Usage tracks usage separately for new SIM cards (or carriers?)

I use a prepaid SIM card when I am in Mexico and before the 4.2.2 update, the data usage tracker would give me the usage of each day without caring which carrier I was using. The usage was the total of all bytes the phone had seen. After the 4.2.2 upgrade, I spent the weekend in Mexico with my...

Your Previous Phone vs Nexus 4

I also miss the camera from the 4S, and it's quick charging time, but I can get around the camera issue by using my NEX camera and an EyeFi that automatically uploads my pics to Picasa, so I have good pictures on my phone in a few seconds. I take most of my pictures at home.

    Good messaging app recommendation?

I like Chomp SMS. Give them all a try and see which one you like better. Chomp will do pop up notifications and turn the screen on when locked. Chomp does have a bug right now that prevents it from sending MMS on 4.2. Not sure if the other two have the same problem, but it will display received...

    4.2.2 and battery life

My battery life is about the same, I haven't seen any noticeable difference. Today after 3 hours and 47 minutes, I'm at 57%. I do have a lot of stuff running all the time: Tweetings push notifications, 3 Gmail accounts, 1 Active Sync account. I have Sensorly mapping from time to time...

Anyone activated Nexus 4 on ATT

They can be pretty useless. Try another agent. I just realized that I can get HSPA+ speeds with the current LTE plan, the problem was that in the same spot, the speeds vary a lot, so even though I ran the test at the same time, the network was a lot more saturated and could not get the 12 Mbps...
