yes, but many (if not most) apps have a "set to default" option in the settings of that app. Mine are not functioning at all, plus in addition to what you offer, you can select "set defaults" in the APPS part of Settings. I cannot.

Since I reset the apps, I can't set any as "default" the ability to set defaults are all in gray color, and there's nothing to "select". It lists "set as default" but no apps allow me to select that as an option thanks in advance any advice?

I never knew that setting existed and I've had a droid for the longest time. I can't thank you enough, this has plagued me. lol

Now I guess all my apps have been reset? and I need to redo all the custom settings ? (small price to pay, I guess)

yes, I'm using an app called "messages" (and the reason it didn't work in safe was b/c the phone automatically switched the default to the messg app that came installed on the phone, which I don't use b/c it won't link up with my laptop, which I use to text daily), I did receive the messages but...

Metro PCS by T-Mobile (not sure why that's important, though) the phone is made by them to use by them (even though it's unlocked) The model is Metro by T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy A12, 32GB

I've never seen an option for AOD, and I just looked for it, searched the phone for it, and it doesn't seem to be available to me. Should it? I'm in safe mode now and it won't receive any texts at all in this mode (and my wifi is enabled). Did I get a piece of junk?
