It's either the copper plates in the battery port on the phone or a chip inside your phone that controls standby and normal uses.

Its only the battery connector, (the copper rectangles that touch the battery on its copper plates to get the power) its more than likely confusing the phone, you may have to get a new one of those parts or get a new device. ;)

yes you can. google has a service in your google setting in the cpu to find your phone, wipe memory, and lock screen with two different passwords, if/when you get a new phone or you find it i recommend the CM Security app. It can be an antivirus, cache cleaner and phone locator/controller. ;)

It could be apps that have special permissions, decline the permissions that control calling, if that doesn't work contact your carrier.

Change power level in power save and turn it on as well. keep brightness at minimum and if all else fails check battery by professional and/or replace power cord.
