here is what i tried before stickmount stopped working with 4.2 wd500g portable hhd. usb hub with 2 thumb drive attached. both can read and xfer files back and forth. one thing to note is that the n7 do not support exfat formatted hhd.

I notice u use a Mac at home. A fat32 thumb drive/portable HHD will have a 4g limit per file. Meaning if u have a Hugh 5g file. U wouldnt be able to copy to that from your Mac to your 8g thumb. The way to overcome that isntp format that HHD disc to exfat format. Then no restriction. BUT...
