Google maps fails when I have it open and lock my phone. And any way to get it back to showing upcoming turns? It used to be a drop down but now it just has the option to swipe left on the bar that says the next turn then it displays the following one.

Yeah it was the android webview update. How come this isn't suggested on a Google help thread or anything instead of the useless default response suggesting a factory reset or deleting cache?

I have another one and I even tried it for GPG, with no success. I guess maybe I'm wondering what my options are now for diagnostics. Maybe some kind of crash test?

I tried the malware detector apps after experiencing this issue and that has never solved found anything. I did download something called nutaku and a couple of the typical rooms and emulators but I figured the chances that there's a virus going undetected and causing this very specific problem...

From what I can tell, nobody seems to be experiencing this issue on in my region or on my device. It's hard to find someone with this issue at all. So I'm not sure how it can be as simple as just an error the devs made.
