Some of us, with the same problem are trying now to switch sync completely off with the taskbar Sync button. Everytime we switch Sync on for a very short time,max a minute and then off again. Could you also try this? Iw your WIFI settings stay ok we maybe can narrow down the problem. Also...

by the way: Do you use Skype? It removes the pictures.
