It sounds like the sensor that turns the screen off when you're on the phone is still on. Reboot your phone and see if that helps

If you don't have good signal then that could be it. Check to make sure none of your apps are trying to pull data too.

I don't have a tablet yet. This would be nice to start with.

I just followed bbking77's I think method off of YouTube. He gives you links to everything you need. The build number and firmware info are on the phone. Go into settings, scroll down to about phone, and all that info is there. Posted via Android Central App

Liquid Smooth is AOSP but it's awesome and my daily driver.

Mine shipped from Phoenix, Arizona. Like everyone else has said, the instructions are wrong but it's not a big deal. The charger looks and feels great, it didn't take very long to charge and never got hot while it was charging. Posted via Android Central App
