From my prior phones (htc touch pro & motorola photon) with Sprint that have sim cards. You can put any sim cards in from the country you are visiting and it will work. I didn't have to call Sprint to have it unlock. Sprint said the phones will work only with Sprint sim cards only which is NOT...
