I got my replacement through Verizon. You can send your phone to Samsung for them to replace the screen, but that's a two week process and you are left without a phone. I went to the Verizon store and showed them the burn in and they offered a replacement.

Yep. Got a replacement phone because of it. I now warn everybody I can about the possibility of screen burn in and I've modified my usage to hold it at bay as long as possible.

My replacement phone can get as high as 120 degrees, but that was using the camera (which is full brightness) outside on a 95 degree day. I never got my first phone that hot. Both of them get to about 105 when playing games. So, it seems normal to me.

Sorry for the delay, just saw your question. The toolkit saves the backup file to the computer. It took a bit of time to set up and the backup took at least 20 minutes (I'm not sure since I walked away) but it was totally worth it.

I used Wugs Toolkit to back up my apps and their data without rooting. When I got my replacement, most of the apps and the settings were saved. Very few things were weird and I had to reset them, but all my games were saved. All my email information was saved. There's lots of info on Wugs, but...

I can't beam photos with my ICS Galaxy Nexus to anything (not another Nexus or an S3). But I did beam web pages to a S3 just yesterday. I thought I read that Jelly Bean will allow the Galaxy Nexus to beam photos.

I think there might be something to the send from the Gallery idea (4). The only time I had it happen was when I sent the image from the stock camera app. I hardly ever use the stock camera. And all my other images have sent along just fine. Oh, and I was using Handcent at the time, so that...

I had it happen once. I pushed send on a picture message and it didn't send it until 3 days later when I sent that same person another text message. (I was in a rush so I didn't go back and look at the text thread.) I haven't had it happen again. I figured it was a fluke.

For the silent calendar event. I have tasker look on my calendar (you can specify which calendar) for any event titled "SILENT_TITLE" and I always name the meetings I want to be silent to "SILENT_TITLE" I haven't tried, but I'm guessing that you could make any event on a certain calendar trigger...
