If you have come here with redirect issues, try B. Diddy's simple instructions first. Worked for me. Must be some kind of hook that rides in on the browser cache. But going to Settings>Apps>All, selecting the browser, and selecting Clear Cache/Clear Data then Force Stop worked like a charm...
