My son and nieces have Iphones, it doesn't chop up on them. So is it really an Apple problem Or is there a setting my friends need to try?

I have Samsung Galaxy S8. I have 2 friends that tell me texts chop up when they receive them, even my short texts. They are able to receive long texts from other people and those texts don't chop up. I am on AT&T and they have IPhones and are on Verizon. I have checked with other friends...
