So, Verizon rolled out the OTA update for 4.0.4 to my RAZR tonight (6.16.211.XT912) and after making sure to run OTA Root Keeper and double check my settings in TiBackup I decided I would go ahead and try out ICS. I have never had an issue with keeping root before but this is a different story...
