    DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

Funny thing about that "vibrate" .. it wasn't just one vibrate.. it was like an earthquake going off on the phone.. like 10 of them in succession. Kinda freaked me out. Again, the difference between the wifes phone and mine, I had a single short vibrate, while hers was the apocalypse happening.

    DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

Well, it took 3 attempts to root the wifes phone. Here's a oddity, the only difference between hers and mine, I had Superuser app still installed when I was rooting. She didn't. After I installed the superuser.apk on her phone and then ran the exploit again, she successfully rooted. Interesting...

    DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

I used Oracle VM VirturalBox. It's free and open source. You'll also need a method to mount the ISO onto a virtual CD drive, UltraISO - Trial so that you can install the Ubuntu in the VM. I tried to priv message you, but I don't see the message in my sent folder (here on the site).. let me...

    DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

Did you dual boot? Windows / Linux? I didn't want to dual boot, considering that I run windows 8 64bit Pro.. headaches abound. I use Oracle VM VirtualBox, it's free and open source. Completely supports your systems existing hardware and pass through. You can install Ubuntu 32bit into the VM and...

How to Root the Droid Bionic

As I posted in another Bionic thread, there is a root exploit for JB. HOWEVER, you have to use Ubuntu 32bit to do it. It's not all that complicated really. Download Oracles VM VirtualBox (it's free and open source) Link: Oracle VM VirtualBox. Install that and create a new machine. You'll want to...

    DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

The Ubuntu exploit method works flawlessly. I ran my Ubuntu within an Oracle VM Virtual box and installed/rooted without major issues. The only issues were assigning a static IP, as I have a rather large network here at the house. 10.0.0.1 was not a valid option. Once the static IP was assigned...

    DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

What I found was that I had to purchase the Camera JB+ app from the market to have the features/look that I was used to in CM10.1 and AOKP. .99 for an app that restores the features/look that we should've got in Jelly Bean to begin with. It also comes with the gallery as well. Personally, I...

What was your phone before the Bionic?

First cell I had was a Nokia 2170 on Sprint. Then I got a LG Chocolate on Verizon, was an over bloated MP3 player basically. 2 years later, moved back to Sprint and got a LG Optimus S. First android phone. Rocking Gingerbread at the time. Still have the phone too, just no service. Took amazing...
