I think the apps to utilize the pen suck big time. The pen however does write rather smoothly IMHO. I also purchased the bigger Wacom Digitizer pen which makes it much more comfortable to hold. I use it at my desk.

I understand why you would say that. I think it is because it is so wide and long, yet so thin. When you're holding it in two hands, it just feels like you should be able to twist it between your two hands and break it. And I'm sure if you tried, it would be easier to break than the 10.1...

I'm not sure all that you're looking for but the Belkin one I got is basic, seems to provide adequate protection and does what I want it to do quite well. At a very reasonable price.
