Actually, comparing my S22+ to my Pixel 4XL is not that meaningful. I just don't have any A/B shots with my Pixel 6 (which I don't have anymore). However, here is a shot with my P6 in the same room to show you what it can do.

This is probably not the best example, but I did not feel like going outside, so I just took these. Everything is washed out. Almost every picture I have taken blows out the highlights. Nothing is in focus. Look at the difference in sharpness in the mic and speaker. The contrast is much too low...

I edit all my photos in Lightroom, but that's not really the point. I have a Sony A1 for serious photography work, but my point is I can't believe Samsung has not figured out how to make good basic photos. I guess I was just too spoiled by the Google phones...

This is a joke, right - Fingerprint sensor is reliable? This phone was way, way overhyped. Compared to my Pixel 5, it's a horrible user experience. A big heavy brick with so many bugs, I have lost count. It is Dec 21, and I still don't have the Dec update. If and when I get it, if it does not...

I wouldn't hold your breath. There are not enough P4 phones out there for companies to care. I figure it will be at least a year before apps are updated.
