most of the time i find that if i have an app that sync regularly e.g push email , news updates etc , my battery life tend to be lower. When i change those to update only when i request , i get better battery life

I use both chrome and firefox.

Have you tried with the original cable. Also are you trying to charge a completely depleted battery ?

I don't think splitting the file in 2 will work

Try a different usb cable.I had the same issue when i used a generic micro usb cable.took ages to charge.I changed the cable to the official one and it worked fine.

i find that i can't unistall some of them , but you can disable or hide them so they do not show in the app list

Give this a try 1. Go back to Home screen. 2. Then tap Apps. 3. Choose Gallery app. 4. Look at the upper left corner, and hit the View icon. 5. Then select Albums. 6. Press the Menu icon. 7. Touch Content to display. 8. Then untick the Cloud storage solutions like Dropbox, Facebook, Picassa, etc.

Great choice. Got one myself , was deciding between the htc m8 or the s5.
